People, especially young people choose to get rid of their shoes when they break instead of repairing them. When I was looking for another project to work on I met Eryk the shoemaker. I realised this was my opportunity to give him a new hope and the future. This project quickly became very special to me as it was my first experience of social design. I was working closely with my client, trying to understand his needs. The project took few months and the aim was to find the most accurate solution to the problem. In the process I used methods like Human-Centered Design and Graphic Design Thinking. This has helped me to see the problem from many different perspective and therefore find a solution that (hopefully!!) inspires people to come to the shoemaker more often!
